Difference from USALI

Balance accounts

USALI does not directly describe Balance Accounts of Chart of Accounts including Assets, Liabilities and Owner’s Equity accounts.

As a result, lines of Financial Reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow Statement) and typical practices of accounting of these accounts in various major hotel chains were used to build these parts of Chart of Accounts.

Some specific lines of reports were expanded significantly including Inventory. Some lines were added like Fixed Assets and Intangible Assets.

As USALI describes all main kinds of ownership (partnership, sole proprietorship, corporation, limited liability company), Limited Liability Company was selected as a base to build Chard of Accounts. It was selected as this form of ownership is the most common and simple.

Revenue accounts

Non-alcoholic beverage sales moved from Food revenue to Beverage revenue.

Beverage accounts for Outlet, Banqueting and In-Room Dining were combined to one account. However Mini-bar is still represented in separate F&B accounts. To separate revenue for different departments (Outlet, Banqueting), corresponding Revenue Centre can be used.

Rebates added to Corresponded Food and Beverage accounts.
